(Pen and felt tips) Strolling to the Bram River, this picture just happened. My nephew (William) was walking with me. He asked why I carried a note book. I took it out and scribbled this picture. I showed it to him, he nodded, and we walked on. (France)

A black biro pen. They say Heidelberg Castle was not bombed but was in fact struck by lightning. I wasn't there at the time, so I really can't say. I was getting bombed in a bar around the corner.

One of the grape fields outside Volney near Beaune 1996. Vine yard is just too romantic a word when you think about the reality of picking grapes all day. In the end though, it was a great experience. Black pen and coloured pencils, and a very sore back.

Pruffeninger Schloss. This was a semi abandoned palace estate on the edge of Regensburg, Germany. Great place to walk the dog. There was a beer garden too. Felt tipped pens.
